Support our Hometown Heroes!
BC’s Hometown Heroes come to the aid of people in life-threatening situations every day. From rescue to recovery, BC’s frontline workers and first responders – our fire fighters, along with the doctors, nurses and health care teams at Vancouver General Hospital – are always on duty for the most critically ill and severely injured patients in BC. When our communities need help, these heroes respond.
By purchasing a Hometown Heroes Lottery ticket, you’re supporting VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, the leading charity investing in health care innovation in BC. Your ticket helps fund cutting-edge equipment at VGH, UBC Hospital, and GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, directly fuelling live-saving care and helping us build healthier communities across BC.
Ticket purchases also support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, including burn survivor support services and burn and fire prevention programs.

About the British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund
A registered charity established in 1978 by the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association, the Burn Fund is dedicated to supporting burn survivors through their recovery journeys every step of the way. More than 4,700 professional fire fighters from 56 communities in BC and the Yukon are building the Burn Fund’s vision. They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase the public’s knowledge about fire and burn prevention. The Burn Fund supports fire fighters with accommodations at Home Away while they receive treatment in Vancouver. And through burn survivor support programs, fire fighters are given the space to heal, build resilience, and reconnect—with themselves, their peers, and the communities they’ve served.
