VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund (“Burn Fund”) today announced that tickets for the 2025 Hometown Heroes Lottery are now on sale until midnight, July 10, 2025, or until tickets sell out. Ticket sales from the Hometown Heroes Lottery support VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, raising essential funds for specialized adult health services at VGH, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, and Vancouver Community Health Services. They also support Burn Fund programs, such as the Home Away program, which offers accommodations to burn and trauma survivors at the Burn Fund Centre in Vancouver, mental health support for burn survivors and fire fighters, as well as the annual Burn Camp for young burn survivors.

The 2025 Hometown Heroes Lottery offers ten grand prize options, and the grand prize winner can choose from homes in South Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Vancouver, the Okanagan, and Vancouver Island. All grand prize packages are worth over $2.5 million. The grand prize winner also has the option of choosing $2.2 million in tax free cash.
Hometown Heroes Lottery ticket prices:
- Hometown Heroes Main Lottery – Three-pack of tickets for $75, seven-pack for $129, 21-pack for $300, and 40-pack for $500.
- Daily Cash PLUS Game – 105 days of winning / $325,000 in total Cash to be won.
The Final Friday Ultimate Cash prize has 3 winners of $25,000. Two-pack of tickets for $30, six-pack for $55, and 12-pack for $80.
- 50/50 PLUS Lottery – Maximum jackpot of over $2.6 million. Winner takes half. Two-pack of tickets for $20, six-pack for $35, 20-pack for $70 and 40-pack for $100. Last year the winner took home $1,093,395 (half of the $2,186,790 Jackpot).
In total, there are 2,731 prizes to be won in this year’s main lottery, with a value of over $3.2 million. To encourage early ticket buying, there are 51 Early Bird prizes worth over $160,000. One early bird winner will have the option of choosing:
- A 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E and a 2025 Honda Prologue EX or,
- A $130,000 Travel Best Bets vacation package ($120,000 in gift cards plus $10,000 cash) or,
- $125,000 cash
Plus, 50 additional Early Bird winners will receive $500 cash each.
